Mo's commitment to Spartanburg extends far beyond his role on County Council. He is actively involved in numerous organizations and initiatives that serve our community, from civil rights advocacy to youth mentorship to cultural celebrations.

501(c)(3) nonprofit organization responsible for Spartanburg Juneteenth—a festival celebrating the history and achievements of African Americans.
Serving the historic Mt. Moriah Baptist Church on Spartanburg's Southside, providing legal guidance and support.
Co-Chair of the Civil Rights Section, working to protect and advance civil justice in South Carolina.

Mo is a proud 2022 graduate of the South Carolina Democratic Party's James E. Clyburn Political Fellowship. This prestigious program develops emerging political leaders and provides training in campaign management, policy development, and community organizing.
In 2019, Mo graduated from the Greenville Chamber of Commerce's Minority Business Accelerator, a program designed to help minority-owned businesses grow and succeed through networking, mentorship, and business development resources.
Mo is a graduate of the Spartanburg County Foundation's Grassroots Leadership Development Institute, which prepares community members for leadership roles in nonprofit organizations and civic engagement.
